Adapted for the screen by Ian McEwan from his best selling novel, The Children Act tells the story of a British Judge (Emma Thompson) who must make daily decisions about the human rights of children in life threatening situations. Her work has taken it’s toll on her relationship with her husband (Stanley Tucci). One case, that of a Jehovah Witness teenage boy, suffering from leukaemia (Fionn Whitehead), starts to get complicated in more ways than just matters of the law.
